Hello,
I am currently using UserPoints for a German community project and would like to ask about the future of German language support.
I noticed that some language strings are still only available in English, which is not a problem for me because I can create language overrides. However, I would like to understand how translations are handled in UserPoints in general.
Are language files maintained centrally by your team, or are translations contributed by community members?
I would be interested in helping with German translations and maintaining a German language pack if that would be useful for the project.
Could you explain how the translation process works technically?
- Where are the language files managed?
- Are translations stored in a repository (GitHub, GitLab, etc.)?
- How are updates submitted and reviewed?
- Is there already an existing German translation that can be improved?
I would be happy to contribute.
Thank you for your time and for the continued development of UserPoints.
Best regards,
Thomas
