Display problem - 2012/08/21 12:20 Hello,

First, sorry for my bad english ...

I've installed Remository 3.54.06 on my joomla 1,5 website. It works pretty good but the ''send file'' buton is 3km down... I have a long white space before... The same things appears with the footer.

I've try to change remository.css, template.php, remositoryFileListHTML.php, and some others, but nothing to do... ='(

When I had the pervious version, I fixed it with Firefox but never with IE.

I dunno what to do, please help me ! ^^

[damn, sorry for the double...]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After investigations, I have removed the #left div (search) and the "send file" buton is now up.

But the "send file" buton div is still long... I've set a red background to see...

Fixed it by rename the #right div in the css...

Re:Display problem - 2012/08/21 21:34 Problems of this kind are usually the result of a clash between the CSS in Remository and the site template.

The Remository CSS is designed to be as compatible as possible with a wide range of template CSS, but it is impossible to know in advance all the templates that might be encountered by a standard package such as Remository.

I believe your latest comments indicate that you have found a solution. If not, please post details of any remaining problems.

Re:Display problem - 2012/10/17 12:37 The usual approach to any problem of this kind is to use Firefox with the Firebug addon - https://getfirebug.com/

Activate Firebug, then use the HTML tab in Firebug. Work through the HTML to find the area that is giving a problem. This may take some digging, some templates are very deeply nested!

You can see what part of the browser display is related to particular HTML by hovering over the HTML and seeing Firebug highlight the area. You can also see the relevant CSS.

If you find something that you think can be improved in Remository, I'm always willing to make changes. Although the CSS and HTML for Remository are written with the aim of being as flexible as possible, so that the display will adapt to the style imposed by the site template.

I can provide a chargeable service to customise Remository, or to investigate specific implementation issues. General problems are always resolved free of charge.

Re:Display problem - 2012/12/06 21:39 The file icons are showing as broken links. For example, http://www.ventasmeisa.com/components/com_remository/images/file_icons/document.gif is one of the file icons, but that URL gets a 404 not found error return. It looks to be a problem in the configuration of your web server, or some of the standard Remository images files are missing. Martin Brampton aka Counterpoint

Re:Display problem - 2012/12/20 12:49 Hi Martin,
I have the same problem with the last 3.55 for joomla 1.5.26. File icons are not displayed. I had to copy the directory componentscom_remositoryimagesfiles_icons in the root server for the file icons are displayed. Remository does not looks for the files icons in /mysite. it looks into /. I copied componentscom_remositoryimagesfiles_icons to / instead of /mysite and icons appear.
I'm not sure it's only a server configuration problem because the other icons are ok (folders, etc.)
it concerns only the files_icons folder.

And also, the version that appears in footer is 3.54 instead of 3.55.
Remository 3.54 uses technologies PHP, SQL, CSS, JavaScript

Re:Solved Display problem - 2017/09/11 17:48 Joomla 3.X
I spent some time agonizing over the same issue. It did not display the file icons on my staging server. This is the actual location for the missing files:

>>>“http://myserver.com/home/~user/public_html/components/com_remository/images”

Remository assumes that it is installed in the html folder of the domain, so it was trying to display a non-existent image file located here:
>>>“http://myserver.com/components/com_remository/images”

See the problem? No hack is needed. I just waited until the site went live and the problem went away. You can do the same, orr make sure that there is a "components/com_remository/images” folder in the domain root.
