Issue with Virtuemart & mod_remositorymulti - 2008/06/16 09:47 Hello, my site is a Joomla 1.5 with Virtuemart 1.1 & Remository 3.44, under JA Purity template.

When I public a "Remository multi-purpose module" showing "Most requested in last x days", I can't login to Virtuemart pages.

The error is:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare editorarea() (previously declared in /home/public_html/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/compat.joomla1.5.php:103) in /home/public_html/components/com_remository/remository.interface.php on line 278

How can I solve it?

Exactly the same setup...

...and exactly the same error, but different trigger. I don't have the module installed, and get the error on search results pages.

Any ideas?

Re:Issue with Virtuemart & mod_remositorymulti - 2008/06/22 17:42 In the short term, it should be possible to suppress this problem by turning on legacy mode in Joomla.

The issue is that both VM and Remository are using much the same technique to achieve a consistent interface between the CMS and the application.

It's certainly possible to avoid it, but I don't know how much code will have to be changed to achieve it! Martin Brampton aka Counterpoint
