 Notice: Undefined variable: - 2005/07/27 05:35 I just installed the newest version of Remository [3.20 beta 2]. And I am running a custom template... After upgrading from 3.05 I am now getting this error:

"Notice: Undefined variable: left in /home/dove/public_html/templates/li_sda_clean/index.php on line 143"

Is this a problem with my code in my template? I am currently not running any modules on the left side with Remository. But, I noticed that if i place a module on the left side while running remository that error goes away.

Following your link I get "The Repository has not yet been established for Like A Dove." Also Remository still claims to be 3.05! Are you sure you followed the upgrade instructions in the readme? "You can call me Al."

Re:Notice: Undefined variable: - 2005/07/27 18:20 Using a Remository beta is liable to show up warnings in other pieces of software.

What happens is that Remository contains an instruction to display PHP errors down to the lowest possible level. This option is not turned off again (there are too many possible end points in the code to make that feasible). It can therefore affect unrelated modules.

Any warnings that show up in this way have almost certainly been there all along - and should probably be fixed, although warnings are just that - they may not be important. But it is good practice to fix them all! Martin Brampton aka Counterpoint
