How to publish the same file in two containers - 2007/03/21 15:22 Hi again... wow how many questions I have...

I just realized that when I publish a file named elsa.txt in a container named test1, and then publish the same file elsa.txt in a second container named test2, the first file in container tes1 disapears!!! I tried also publishing the same file with diferent names, but the same hapened, so I guess is the phisical file that can only be published once...

Any suggestions?

If you want to know why I need that, is because we are publishing information to a group to share information, and we need to find it from differents paths, so differents "ways of thinking" will find the document even if we organize the information as workflow or as logical names...

Re:How to publish the same file in two containers - 2007/03/21 20:07 Sorry, but at present Remository does not support having two files of the same name in the file system. There are obvious problems of name clashes if the files are moved around and finish up in the same directory. This is a deliberate design feature.

Remository 3.40 supports multiple files with the same name when the files are stored in the database, even if the files are in the same Remository container.

Ok admin, I've been hard reading this evening and I found out you gave this explanation to someone else asking the same.

I've been trying things, and you actually can publish the same thing in two diferent places if one is "add physical file" and the other is "add remote file". Only if this helps someone... (not me actually)
