RemoSEF not CB-friendly. - 2006/02/02 12:34 Hello. I just installed RemoSEF, as an alternative to OpenSEF. And, for the most part, it actually worked pretty dang good. Except one very major down-side..

Using Community Builder's login module, With remosef involved, logging in now gives me:

You are not authorized to view this resource.
You need to login.

When people can't login, things become very problematic.

Re:RemoSEF not CB-friendly. - 2007/01/03 14:19 I'm discouraged from spending time on this by (a) the lack of cooperation from CB and (b) the fact that the Joomlapolis thread continues with a report of the same problem from someone who is NOT using SEF at all. Martin Brampton aka Counterpoint

Re:RemoSEF not CB-friendly. - 2007/02/06 06:23 I'm also using CB in my website but have no problem to log in. But when I click Member which point to UserList without I log in, it will showed:

"You are not authorized to view this resource.
You need to login."

So, in the Backend(Administrator)>Components>RemoSef " Component name mappings", I added com_comprofile - profile.

Problem solved, everytime I click the Members link, it will show the userlist. But when I click the username, it will not direct me to the user profile but the same message appear again. Anyway, for me, this is ok because I don't want any unregistered user to see my user profile.

Re:RemoSEF not CB-friendly. - 2007/02/06 15:45 That is the right thing to do - Remosef will not process the sef_ext.php for any component unless the component has been added to the list and given an alternative name.

I don't know CB well enough to know which facilities are meant to be restricted to registered users and which are meant to be publicly available. Remosef shouldn't really make any difference.
