 group management - 2005/07/21 23:45 Two points regarding group management in remository (with mambothemes groups component) :
i) all registered users are still able to upload files in categories/folders restricted to a group.
ii) registered users who do not have group access cannot download public files in the group categorie/folders (with the general options: See_Containers_no_download=false See_Files_no_download=false Enable_User_Autoapp=true). We expect that registered users have at least the same rights than anonymous access.

Re:group management - 2005/07/22 05:16 Thanks very much for the feedback. On the specific points:

1) I've changed the code so that both uploading and downloading are restricted to the group, if there is one specified.

2) Downloads are permitted to anyone if visitors are enabled to download. Only visitors do not have download rights is the test on registered users then linked to group membership.

Does that make better sense?

Re:group management - 2005/07/22 15:45 If you would like to test the changes made, please let me have an email address. The changes are not tested as much as I would want to make a public release, but there are no ovbious problems. If you have already set up a situation for testing this aspect of Remository, it would help me if you were able to test out the logic, and lead to a quicker release of beta 2. But i can explore the group functionalities as well.
If it is relevant, send the last version to : guillaume [dot] raschia [at] univ-nantes [dot] fr

hope the stable release of remository 3.20 will arrive soon (and if i can help...).
