Glossary Install Not Working Help! - 2006/06/29 23:18 I've tried to install Glossarbot 1.8, 1.9 and today version 1.91 a couple of times and get the following error ".$database->getErrorMsg()." after I click the Upload file & install button -- I'm using PHP 5.1.4 with Joomla 1.0.10 on Mac.

Once I click the ok the Admin screen comes up. Next I click on the Components in the menu bar select Glossary and one of the admin tools inside the page refreshes to a blank screen…

Does any one have any suggestions?

I even did a fresh Joomla install and Database but still have the same results.

Re:Glossary Install Not Working Help! - 2006/07/14 17:58 Should I assume that you have been installing GLOSSARY rather than Glossarbot? I've just installed Glossary 1.9.1 into Joomla 1.0.10 without any problem. Are you using the component installer? Or are we completely at cross purposes

If you're totally stuck, and want me to have a look, send me access details via "Contact Us". But don't write a plain URL in the message - it will be blocked by anti-spam. Make it human readable, but not a proper URL.

Glossary 2.2 install ".$database->getErrorMSG()" - 2006/12/27 18:36 When I try to install glossary 2.2 on Joomla 1011 I get ".$database->getErrorMSG()", which is the same as the post above.

I have redownloaded to make sure the file is not corrupt. The directories and files are being installed.

How did you solve this?

BTW: the GlossaryBot installed fine.

Thanks

Larry

Re:Glossary 2.2 install ".$database->getErrorMSG() - 2007/01/03 15:48 Sorry, I don't know what is the problem. I've just installed Glossary 2.02 into http://joomlaguru.co.uk without any problems. That is just a basic Joomla 1.0.11 installation - you can run it there! Not sure where to go from here.

The only likely difference is that it is hosted with more advanced versions of PHP and MySQL. Maybe that is an issue?

Re:Glossary 2.2 install ".$database->getErrorMSG() - 2007/01/03 17:08 You were right about it being something to do with php/mysql I was using. Rather than using WAMP5, I tried it on JSAS and it worked fine.

Thanks for the suggestion
