i think the term "container" that you use is strange for mambo/joomla term. i usually use joomla term "category", since joomla use this SCI structure: Section, Category, and Contents Items. The "category" term used consistency in Joomla, Docman, Joomlaboard, Remository 3.24, Contact, New Feed, and so on.

"Container" make me think about "cargo container" in the vessel shipping port
