Files seem to be moving - 2010/09/17 13:30 Hello......I don't know why this is happening but I know its something I am doing wrong.

I have one downloads folder with about 20 folders within it (Sub Directories)

Here is my problem....I installed Remository and I was changing the settings. I changed the "Downloads Storage Path" to my Downloads Directory then I went into "Add files already on server" and I changed the "Absolute Path to files" to my Downloads folder as well then I "Saved File Structure".

My plan was to allow Remository to show the Downloads Directory with all "Sub Directories" intact so people can browse the directories and download the files.

All the files on the server instead got moved to the downloads directory and got taken out of all the sub directories within it.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? and how I can list the files on the site so they stay in there sub directories?

Re:Files seem to be moving - 2011/05/29 19:27 Remository will put files in the location determined by the absolute path in the relevant container.

When adding files already on the server, Remository will not create a new folder where one already exists that seems to match. And Remository will use the absolute path in the folder that already exists.

Remository will never leave files in a different location from the one specified in the container if it is able to move them. Even if the move fails on the first attempt, Remository will keep trying. Martin Brampton aka Counterpoint
