Can't delete Unlinked Files in the Backend - 2010/09/02 22:05 Hi at all,

I have a problem since 3.53.5 with the deletion of unlinked files.
When I upload some files over ftp to my upload directory, then go to unlinked files in the remository backend, I see a list of all these files. Now I can put the files to the download-folder. That works without problems. Here I can delete the downloads. Then it deletes the file on server, too.
But when I want to delete the file in the list of unlinked files - nothing happens. When I check it over ftp, I can see that the file is still there. When I delete it using ftp the file is delete in the unlinked files list too.

The problem ist still in 3.53.7.
After a downgrade to an earlier version of remository I can delete the files in the list of unlinked files again.

Are there some changes in the sourcecode beetween 3.53.2 and 3.53.5?

Hope you can help to solve this issue. Sorry if the english isn't perfect.

Thanks

Re:Can't delete Unlinked Files in the Backend - 2010/09/03 19:30 Sorry, my filenames have no such characters. Only Letters and numbers, no Special sign or things like that.

I'm wondered, because in the earlier version there was no problem with that.

Re:Can't delete Unlinked Files in the Backend - 2010/09/04 16:43 I'm sorry, it seems that my efforts to solve the problem of special characters etc in file paths has actually resulted in a new problem! That's the way it goes in software development

To solve the problem of characters that do not work well when included as part of a URL, the system was altered to encode the paths. Unfortunately, in one place the wrong string was used. The result was that deletes do not work.

If you would like an immediate fix, please download the attached file, unzip it and place the contents in ../components/com_remository/v-admin-classes/ to replace the existing listUnlinkedHTML.php.

The new code will be included in the next release too.

Re:Can't delete Unlinked Files in the Backend - 2010/09/04 18:25 Thanks Martin for the fast fix.

After changing the php-file I can delete the files, now.

So my site runs now with 3.53.7 and I can sleep better.

Great job and thank you for your work.
