Corrupted Files - 3.52.8 - 2010/08/15 11:38 Hi all,

I'm having a problem with 3.52.8 since a few days. When trying to download files (from 1 to 150mb, mp3) with Remository, sometimes files get corrupted (missing parts, for example 120Mb download for a 150mb file). Not all the files, but many of them (7000 files, 170Go, not stored in database). All was working fine with this version a few days ago.

My server is under Debian Lenny + Apache2 "Worker module + Fcgid (standalone php routine)", and maybe it can help you if I tell you that it is only a supposition, but maybe the problem has started after I used phpmyadmin to "Optimise Tables" but I'm not sure.

Many thanks to anyone who can help us, it's a really strange pb for us !!

Re:Corrupted Files - 3.52.8 - 2010/08/16 03:54 I am having a very similar issue, mostly with larger files.

We have changed the following
max_execution_time=0
upload_max_filesize = 150MB
post_max_size = 200MB
memory_limit = 256MB
max_file_uploads = 100
session.gc_maxlifetime = 2880
file_uploads = ON

After making these changes we get some success depending on who tries and where they are trying from. We don't seem to have better results in one browser vs another.

I wasn't having any of these issues until we switched from an internal hosting to a shared Network Solutions hosting and their support so far has been extremely disappointing.

If anyone has more information that would be helpful to both of us i would greatly appreciate it.

Re:Corrupted Files - 3.52.8 - 2010/08/16 19:15 Hi, thanks for your answer. I tried this kind of configurations, but nothing changed. Sometimes it works, sometimes nont.

Now, I modified the download-controller.php file to increase block size, then my download speed is x2, to be sure it was not a timeout pb and it is not.

It can be at 1mn, or 5, but it crashes.
Nothing in my apache logs.

please help !! anybody !!

Re:Corrupted Files - 3.52.8 - 2010/08/20 18:48 1. Do you have the modified database drivers available at http://remository.com/downloads/support-files/joomla-1.5/database-interfaces/ ?

2. Do the damaged downloads get logged in the xxx_downloads_log table? (xxx will be jos for a default Joomla installation)
