I need the ability to post a file for download to a customer and send him a link to that file and a password for it. I do not have any code writing experience. Thanks

Re:password protection for single files - 2010/05/24 17:33 You can create a personal container for a particular user, and create a group containing only that one user. If the container is then restricted to access by that group, you will have what you want.

Picture this:
Guests can download from some categories, like "general" stuff.

Guests can also download a couple of files (not everyone) from a container.

Users can download everything.

Why do I want this? I want to publish a file for everyone, then after a while I want to protect it but don't change the URL.

Could you create "permission groups" for files instead of containers? /Per-Anders
