create search to remository? - 2009/11/22 08:46 Hi there, wondering if someone be able to help me with this as I'm a bit stuck and not sure if it's even possible...
Is it possible to send a search term directly to remository some how? I've managed to do it with regular Joomla search, but the results provided are too exact. Remositorys search results seem to be broader.
For example, to send the search request to Joomla's search I'm using
Code:

 index.php?option=com_search&searchword=xyz


the xyz is provided by a tag on the referring page.

Is it possible to do the same with remository some how, so i can bring up its search results instead?

 index.php?option=com_remository&func=search&search_text=module&search_filetitle=1&search_filedesc=1&submit=yes



Miss off search_filetitle=1 or search_filedesc=1 to suppress searching in the title or description respectively.

The search text may need to be URL encoded if it contains non ASCII characters or spaces. Martin Brampton aka Counterpoint
