Two Terms - 2009/10/21 17:18 Hi to everybody, I first of all apologize me for my English, but I use me of a software of translation since I am Italian.
I have this problem:
I have to insert the same term in more glossaries.
I have tried to insert an equal term in 2 glossaries, but in a glossary you/he/she is shown, in the other glossary no.
How can I do?
Thanks

Re:Two Terms - 2009/10/23 17:33 It is not possible now, as a term has to be unique across all glossaries.

But I have added your request to the bug tracker as an enhancement request.

Re:Two Terms - 2009/10/24 05:27 Actually I managed to remove UNIQUE key from MySQL table and that allowed to enter as many as same terms I want.

Re:Two Terms - 2009/10/24 10:01 But bushels using the last version of glossary?
In few words you have removed the key UNIQUE from the chart of glossary of the database and does it work you?

Re:Two Terms - 2009/11/02 07:55 Yes, I'm using the last version and I wanted to have same words which is translated in many depending where that is used.

And it works just fine for me.

To do it, I think that I exported jos_glossary and dropped the table, removed UNIQUE key from sql file and then imported it back.

Honestly, I believe for many languages the term can have many definitions. That's why I wanted to have multiple instances of a same term.

Cheers mate!

Re:Two Terms - 2010/08/18 14:29 Is this still valid for the newest version (2.71)?
I have the same problem. Need a glossary for experts and another for non-experts which sometimes contain the same terms with different definitions, but each time i try to save an already used term in another glossary it simply won't save.
Thanks
