bammerman Karma: 0	File version to file date - 2009/03/18 20:38 Is there a way to change the File version text to say File Date in both front end and back end, and then sort by it? Right now I have the sort limited to File Title \| Downloads \| Submit Date (I would like to use the file version as a file date display field and just have it show up on the web as file date instead of version.

You can change any text by adding your own custom overrides at the start of the language file, e.g. ../language/english.php. Re:File version to file date - 2009/03/24 22:10 The real work is done in ../p-classes/remositoryFile.php, in the getFilesSQL method. The ordering stuff is near the start of the method. You can control the default sort order by setting a value in com_remository_constants.php. That may be all there is to it, but you might need to chase things around a bit.

Not sure if I've said this before, but it's useful to use either a full IDE or a good editor such as Notepad++ that will allow you to search across the whole project. Martin Brampton aka Counterpoint
