The jos_downloads_files fields - 2009/01/20 11:55 Hello.

I'm a bit revisitating this subject, but I really need to know more.
I currently make use of some of the unused by default table jos_downloads_files fields, including Operative System, Requirements, and custom fields.
I have also hacked the code to display these.

Know, my question is, for all this table fields, what are those that aren't working by default?

I'm thinking of making use of the `recommended` and `recommend_text`, with the objective of associating files to other related files. I have no idea if this feature is implemented, and if it is, what is the behavior and how does it work.

BTW, is there a documentation that would cover the usage of every fields on the files database?

Thank you!

Re:The jos_downloads_files fields - 2009/02/02 23:56 The only reliable way to handle this kind of question is to use a development environment that allows you to search all the files in a project to see if something is used.

There are various PHP IDEs some of which are quite expensive. A cheap and simple option is to use Notepad++ which will search through a directory structure.

Re:The jos_downloads_files fields - 2009/02/05 11:27 Hello.

I thought that you were keeping track of the features of the table jos_downloads_files fields that you implemented, and the ones that you didn't. But how do you develop further versions, if you don't know what features have been already implemented?

I'm not able to find it by myself. Going through the entire code seeking for used fields is not on my range. I'm not that good. I can only do a few mods on the code.

I guess I'll have to leave it this way.

Thank you!
