I'm aware of a lot of things that have been said, but from all the discussions I have held, the issues are cloudy and virtue does not reside wholly in one place or another. There is unlikely ever to be a generally agreed version of events, and I don't think there is much value to raking over past arguments.
One of my key goals for Mambo is to make it a better environment in which to develop plugins such as Remository. To the extent that we can succeed in that, it will be easier to improve Remository for Mambo.
But I've no intention to cut off Joomla users in the immediate future, and will support both for as long as it is feasible. How the Joomla environment will develop is outside my control!
