General public viewing permissions. - 2007/07/15 13:00 Hi, I am possibly having a blonde moment! I cannot seem to find a way to allow the general public to view the files in the containers.

I have setup a menu link to component Remository, which allows the public to view the containers. But if they click on a container, they are told they must Register as a User to view the files.

My container permissions are set that Visitors can neither download or upload files. Registered users can download only.

I am using version 3.42 and have access to the MySQL db. I have looked for a flag to change, in the db, couldn't find one.

I have the same problem. The settings are already like suggested. The settings for the container seem O.K. to me (see Attachment). The problem remains the same:

If you are not logged in and use the Link to my downloads (http://www.bildungsberatung-burgenland.at/joomla/downloads.html) (Downoad Zone = remository) you are forced to login.

I am a absolut newbie to remository. But I am quite sure that my settings should allow access for visitors.
