Custom Login and Register link in settings - 2009/12/24 13:16
Remository has a great feature that it can limit the download permission ONLY to registered users. When a guest visit such a limited download page, he will see a message like: Only for registered users, please Login or Register.
In above situation, the word Login and Register are all links to com_user of Joomla core.
However, if the user does not use com_user for Login and Register, instead, he uses other component such as Community Builder, these links can't work any more.
The user has to edit the language file(s) to change these links. You know, such a manual job is annoying, and the modification result may lose if the user upgrade Remository to a newer version.
My suggest is: add new options of Custom Login and Registration links in the Settings page of Remository. If you can built in the integration with other components in a dropdown list style for selection, that will be better.
Of course, don't forget to offer an "Other" option and allow the user input his own custom links manually to the newly added text field.
