add automatically after public by ftp - 2009/03/24 18:31 Hi
sorry for my english!
I have a question about remository.
I have a university site where representatives of several years must load slides of the Professor on the website . The problem is that they are all very not seized on cms etc. ..
I watched that in remository there is the panel to add file that add before from the server.
My question is : Do my friends must every time insert the files from the panel or the files can automatically be inserted in the download after to have been added through the ftp?
Thanks you!

Re:add automatically after public by ftp - 2009/03/24 22:19 You are right, there is a feature for adding files that are already on the server (via FTP or similar). Remository does not automatically add files with no user intervention, since it is assumed that a repository only has value because it contains additional information, not just the files themselves.

If Remository only handled the files, it would be no more than an FTP server!
