Re:How to export remository files? - 2011/11/19 22:32 Are your files in the file system, or in the database?

You should move all the Remository related database tables to the new system, and then install Remository.

Also move any files that are in the file system. Since Remository allows you to specify where files should be stored (by entering absolute path in containers) I cannot tell you where they will be.

Re:How to export remository files? - 2011/11/21 16:15 Hello,
I have exported remository databases from old databases and then imported in new joomla 1.7 databases. Also, i moved any files that are in the old file system to new one.
But, there is nothing in Remository, neither containers, nor files in admin component. Did i do something wrong?
I have exported and imported followed databases:
jos_downloads_blob
jos_downloads_classify
jos_downloads_containers
jos_downloads_
jos_downloads_email
jos_downloads_
jos_downloads_file_classify
jos_downloads_log
jos_downloads_repository
jos_downloads_reviews
jos_downloads_structure
jos_downloads_text

Are these databases all remository related databases?

Re:How to export remository files? - 2012/01/04 22:12 Like you, I use remository to manage data held in files. The tactic that has worked for me is to copy the jos_downloads_* tables to the new database just as you have done. It didn't work for me until I saw a post from Martin implying that you must do this before you install Remository. It appears that Remository's installation procedure notices that the relevant tables are in place and configures the component accordingly.

I hope it works for you as easily as it worked for me - after many failed attempts!
