Bug with search function (IMPORTANT) - 2010/10/17 18:26 Hi Martin!

I detect a bug with search function. For example if I search all word that contain string "pla" and these words occupy more than one page, it shows a link with the rest of the pages but this links are:

http://www.diccionariomedico.net/diccionario/Diccionario-terminos-2/all/page,2/

http://www.diccionariomedico.net/diccionario/Diccionario-terminos-2/all/page,3/

And can not acces to the searched words. I think that it's important to solve it. Maybe the solution are show all finded entries in one word and maybe a suggestion is to show a text with number of found words.

Many thanks!

Re:Bug with search function (IMPORTANT) - 2010/10/21 15:04 Hi.
I did the same test on my local joomla installation with Glossary 2.7.4 and the pagination worked well.

I searched for terms containing "ai" and the result displayed two pages. The link of the second page on the first one was correct: ".../index.php?option=com_glossary&Itemid=54&task=list&glossid=1&letter=all&glossarysearchword=ai& glossarysearchmethod=2&page=2"

I confirm that on your site the behaviour of the search function is odd.

Re:Bug with search function (IMPORTANT) - 2010/10/21 16:11 Hi Marco63!

Re:Bug with search function (IMPORTANT) - 2010/10/25 08:13 Hi turminator.
You're right! For an inexplicable reason, the url of the below pages in the search result page remain unchanged in your site, while are in mine related to glossarysearchworld and glossarysearchmethod.
Have you tried to change the joomla theme to the deafult one to check if the problem is related to the template?
Or perhaps it is a problem of your SEF: try to disable it and verify the behaviour.

Re:Bug with search function (IMPORTANT) - 2010/10/25 09:11 Hi Marco63

Thanks for your support. I don't use any SEF component, only use Joomla System. I test to change the template but the problem persists.

I don't know how can I do to solve it.

Many thanks!

Re:Bug with search function (IMPORTANT) - 2010/10/25 12:30 Are you shure about SEF?
Without SEF, the link (menu link) are always like "index.php?option=". It is not the case of your site. Please verify that.

Re:Bug with search function (IMPORTANT) - 2010/10/25 22:43 Hi Marco63,

I verify that and I only use Joomla SEF system core and not any other component or any pluggin.

Re:Bug with search function (IMPORTANT) - 2010/10/26 09:12 Please disable Jommla SEF and verify the behaviour of the Glossary. The problem with the unchanged page links could be a SEF bug. Try it and let me know.

Re:Bug with search function (IMPORTANT) - 2010/10/26 13:20 Hi Marco63,

I tested with Joomla SEF disabled and works correctly. For this reason I think that there is aa problem with Glossary and Joomla SEF system.

Many thanks for your support!

Re:Bug with search function (IMPORTANT) - 2010/11/05 11:13 Yes, sorry, I think the SEF transformation loses information about the search. It will have to be fixed in the next major release now. Martin Brampton aka Counterpoint

Re:Bug with search function (IMPORTANT) - 2010/11/22 17:50 Hi Martin,

Is there any solution yet, for solve this issue?

EDIT: Other question that I have seen is that Google indexed this URL:

http://www.diccionariomedico.net/component/glossary/Diccionario-terminos-2/P/page,18/

For page 18 for letter P, the problem is that when user access in, not shows this URL page and only shows frontpage glossary.

Many thanks!
