Glossary requires PHP version 5.2.3 or later - 2010/07/12 21:56 I installed new Version 2.7 RC, but in backend and in Frontend I get only a blank page with:
Sorry, this version of Glossary requires PHP version 5.2.3 or later
Seems that there is still the same php-problem as in the earlier Beta-Versions http://remository.com/forum/func,view/id,15926/catid,12/.
My PHP-version is: "5.2.0-8+etch10"

Am I alone with the problem? Should I go back to the former version? Please help me.

Thank you!

Re:Glossary requires PHP version 5.2.3 or later - 2010/07/13 12:28 I'm afraid you're running on old software. PHP 5.2.0-8 is older than PHP 5.2.3.

Sounds like your server must be on Debian Etch, whereas the current version of Debian has been Lenny quite a while now. Debian Lenny comes with a modified PHP 5.2.6 which easily meets the Glossary requirement.

PHP 5.2.3 is the first reasonably stable version in the 5.2.x series and also contains quite a few significant features, including some that are essential for Glossary 2.7. It was released a clear 3 years ago, and it is difficult to deliver complex software using old platforms. Sorry!
