Description:

The Remository application provides the ability to manage a file repository within a CMS. Remository is powerful, efficient and flexible, but also easy to use. This version requires PHP5 (at least 5.1.2).

PLEASE NOTE: To be able to play audio or video files, this version requires a plugin, one each for audio and video. Using plugins for audio and video makes it easier to update and extend the A/V support, or to provide alternative plugins for different choices of functionality. The initial plugins are available for download here and recreate the functionality of version 3.51.

Remository has too many features to mention them all, but some major ones include:

• Files can be stored securely, with control over who can gain access by a flexible RBAC (role based access control) system.
• Storage of files can be in the database (the default and particularly suitable for small repositories) or in the file system.
• You can organize files into containers that can be nested to arbitrary depth. The real storage does not need to reflect the visible organization.
• Visitors to your site can upload files, subject to controls set in the RBAC system
• There is a built-in repository search mechanism, as well as support for the site search mechanism
• Information shown about files can be customized
• There are numerous other configuration options

This version contains bug fixes and small improvements:

• Bug fixes, including problems with Joomla native SEF
• Removal of "basename" from code to assist Russian, Chinese etc names
• Provided separate inheritance indicators for absolute path and access controls
• Enabled admin modification of individual file download count
• Thumbnails link to file details page in lists of files
• Thumbnails on file details page still link to popup large image
• Enhanced efficiency for large repositories

Release 3.52.1 includes bug fixes, primarily to fix a fault in the handling of access controls, and a fatal error in the categories module.

Release 3.52.2 includes bug fixes to resolve a problem that blocked error reporting when an upload did not succeed in providing a file; to deal with a problem in the splitting of inheritance between absolute path and access controls; a problem with no valid URI being specified when adding a remote file on the admin side.

Release 3.52.3 includes bug fixes for failures occuring when "access refused" should have been displayed and the removal on the restriction against duplicate URIs.

Release 3.52.4 fixes various small bugs

Release 3.52.5 fixes a download counting bug, may fix problem saving configuration, and has other smaller fixes.

Release 3.52.6 fixes a problem with comments about DD Drop Down becoming visible, which should not happen.

Release 3.52.8 fixes a potential vulnerability that should be unlikely to affect people, but is blocked by this release.
